Please join us as we salute the centennial of the historic Waimea Elementary School Building N, a Hawaiʻi Island landmark that has served the surrounding community as a schoolhouse, military hospital, and fine arts museum. Opened to regional students in 1916, the quintessential plantation-style structure was saved from demolition, relocated to its current site, and meticulously restored in 2003. Today, it is a major showcase for historic art of Hawaiʻi and home to the world’s largest collection of works by Madge Tennent.
