Cornelia Foley cut sinuous contour lines, with minimal areas of hatching and shading, into her wood block to simply and sensually define the form of a young woman holding a calabash. Honolulu Printmakers distributed this elegant composition of pleasing rhythms and undulating forms as its annual gift print in 1937.
